RELIGION & VALUES

Dear Parents/ Guardians

This term at Sirius College, we have organised a campaign for two weeks in collaboration with the Australian Relief Organisation (ARO) for the 2019 Eid Qurban fundraising. The entire school fundraised for unprivileged people of Asia Pacific during R&V classes. There were different rewards to encourage the students to fundraise. This year the class who raised the highest amount of money was Year 4. All Year 4 students went to watch a movie at Village Cinema Shepparton and had a lot of fun.

Another highlight of this term was the Year 6 Religion and Values Intercampus Competition. The competition was about reading a book named “Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)”. Three students Ava Barker, Mahnoor Fayyaz & Mohamed Al-Athamy were selected from Shepparton Campus to participate in the competition and Sibel Uguz to read the poem about Quran. These students worked very hard to prepare for this competition. As a result of their hard work, they won the first position and made no mistake throughout the competition. I would like to congratulate these students and their parents. It was a pleasure to work with them and I am proud of their success.
